PPAs (Personal Profile Analysis) are useful both at recruiting stage and as part of the ongoing management of staff. They should form an integral part of the recruitment process and can aid interviewing by directing relevant questions to perceived strengths and weaknesses of candidates. The PPA shows behavioural traits only and should be used in conjunction with intelligent interview questioning.
As a management tool, the report will help managers to handle their staff on an individual basis – as what motivates one person will not be the same as another – so understanding what makes them tick can be extremely useful.
We use the Thomas International PPA and Pat Deeley has been trained by Thomas International in its use and analysis, as well as using it successfully for over 20 years.
PPA has received a Certificate of Registration from the British Psychological Society (BPS) to confirm it meets all psychometric requirements for use as a psychological tool. Thomas is also a founder member of the Business Test Publishers Association (BTPA) dedicated to improving the quality of published assessments.
